So, I have an idea…

Not fully formed. But, it kind of goes like this.

As I’ve previously stated, Gwen is really awesome. But, she gets fixated on things. A certain toy (or 20 of them, all of which must fit in her backpack), food, TV show, movie, etc.

(Sci-Fi post-apocalyptic starwars-type nonsense.)

My thought was: what if she’s in a family that’s on the run. In the beginning, she’s pressing buttons. All the buttons. All of the WRONG buttons. Mom chimes in with “Only the blue ones, dear.” This comes up over and over again… there is always a red, green and blue (sue me: I’m a graphics coder) option, and she constantly insists on pressing green. Because Green means Good. The key is that, due to her OCD, she always picks Green.

The family goes through some drama. Many do not live (shocker). At the end, we wind up with Gwen, sans the rest of the family, and a bunch of bad guys. Our 10-year-old severely disabled heroine is left next to yet another panel of RGB buttons. We know she’s going to pick Green, because she always does and she is Gwen. We also know that anything other than Red is going to kill everyone.

Amidst combat and insanity in the background, she picks Red.

Because she is smart, she understands, and she has been paying attention.

Never underestimate my daughter.
